2024年7月1日，瑞士联邦委员兼经济、教育与研究部长居伊·帕姆兰抵达北京，开启五天的访华行程。

　　On July 1, 2024, Guy Parmelin, Swiss Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research, arrived in Beijing for a five-day visit to China.

　　7月1日，商务部部长王文涛会见瑞士联邦委员兼经济和教研部长帕姆兰，双方就中瑞经贸关系深入交换意见。来自瑞士经济联合会、机电金属协会、钟表工业联合会等机构及雀巢、诺华、嘉能可等企业的近30名工商界代表参加会见。

　　On July 1, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao met with Guy Parmelin, and they exchanged views on China-Switzerland economic and trade relations. About 30 industry and commerce representatives from organizations including the Economiesuisse, Swissmem, the Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry as well as Nestle, Novartis, Glencore and other businesses, attended the meeting.

　　王文涛表示，在中瑞创新战略伙伴关系引领下，中瑞经贸关系发展势头良好。中瑞经济联系紧密，互补性强，双边自贸协定实施10年来，对促进两国贸易投资增长发挥了积极作用。中方愿同瑞方共同落实好两国领导人达成的重要经贸共识，尽快启动中瑞自贸协定升级谈判，推动两国经贸合作提质升级。希望瑞方坚持自由贸易，反对保护主义和单边主义，继续为中国企业提供公平、开放的投资环境。

　　Wang Wentao said that with the China-Switzerland innovative strategic partnership, economic and trade relations between the two nations enjoys good momentum. The China-Switzerland Free Trade Agreement (FTA) executed a decade ago has played a positive role in driving the trade and investment growth of the two countries, as the two economies are closely linked and complementary. China is ready to work with Switzerland to implement the important economic and trade consensus reached by the state leaders, start negotiations on upgrading the China-Switzerland FTA as early as possible, and advance the economic and trade cooperation upgrade and quality improvement of the two countries. Minister Wang stated his hope that Switzerland will uphold the free trade principle, oppose protectionism and unilateralism, and maintain a fair and open investment environment for Chinese firms.

　　帕姆兰表示，中国是瑞士最重要的经贸合作伙伴之一。瑞方高度评价瑞中自贸协定的积极作用，瑞各界尤其工商界期待该协定早日实现升级。作为开放国家，瑞士向来反对保护主义，反对针对经贸合作设限，希与中方加强监管政策、知识产权保护合作，共同为企业打造公平、非歧视的营商环境。

　　Guy Parmelin said that China is one of Switzerland's most important economic and trade partners. Switzerland highly acclaims the positive role of the China-Switzerland FTA, and all Swiss sectors, especially the industry and commerce community, look forward to the early upgrade of the agreement. As an open country, Switzerland always opposes protectionism and restrictions on economic and trade cooperation. The country hopes to strengthen cooperation with China in regulatory policies and IPR protection, jointly maintaining a fair and non-discriminatory business environment for enterprises.

　　会后，双方签署谅解备忘录，商定将尽快正式启动中瑞自贸协定升级谈判。

　　After the meeting, the two sides inked a MoU and agreed to start negotiations on upgrading the China-Switzerland FTA as early as possible.

　　7月4日至5日，帕姆兰率代表团来访深圳走访迈瑞、华为等知名企业。期间，深圳向瑞士代表团详细介绍了深圳优越的营商环境，希望双方能够进一步加大双向投资力度、扩大贸易规模，实现互利共赢。随团瑞士企业及工商业行业协会代表在深期间深入了解深圳的投资环境并留下良好印象。

　　From July 4 to 5, Guy Parmelin led a delegation to visit well-known companies such as Mindray and Huawei in Shenzhen. Shenzhen’s side introduced its robust business environment in detail to the delegation, hoping to further increase two-way investment and expand the scale of trade for mutual benefits and win-win results. Representatives of Swiss businesses and industry associations gained a deep understanding of and were impressed by the city's investment ecosystem.
